has appointed Jill Barber as global head of institutional solutions. Barber reports to group chief executive Peter Sanderson. She wil joins on 1 November, partnering with Jeremy Roberts, who joined the firm on 1 September as global head of distribution with a focus on wholesale clients. Together they will lead GAM’s sales and distribution efforts. Barber brings 25 years’ experience in sales, business development, client relationship management and consultant relations. She will be joining from Jupiter Asset Management, where she has been global head of institutional. Prior to that, Barber was head of institutional for the UK and Ireland at Franklin Templeton Investments. She has also had senior distribution roles at Hermes and Fidelity Worldwide Investment.
